I had a lot of fun drawing that dress! Jasmine represents Lebanon, because it's probably the only country that participates in the Miss Universe pageant that fits with the Aladdin world. That I'm aware of.
The look is obviously inspired in her slave outfit, which I think looks a lot better than that turquoise nightmare she has to wear through most of the movie. Ok, it's not that bad, it's just that I really don't like turquoise.
